Data Deletion Request
You can request deletion of your data from HitzChat at any time. We comply with all applicable data protection regulations.
How to Request Data Deletion
Send an Email
Email us at support@hitz.chat with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
Provide Your Information
Include the email address associated with your account, or the messaging platform user ID (Facebook, Instagram, LINE) you used to interact with a business through HitzChat.
We Process Your Request
We will verify your identity and delete all associated data within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
What Data Will Be Deleted
- Your account information (name, email, phone).
- All conversation history and messages.
- Customer profile data linked to your messaging platform ID.
- Any files or media shared through the platform.
- Analytics and usage data associated with your account.
Facebook and Instagram Users
If you have interacted with a business through Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct that uses HitzChat, you can:
- Request deletion by emailing support@hitz.chat with your Facebook/Instagram username.
- Remove the app's access through your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
- Contact the business directly to request data deletion.
Data Retention After Deletion
After processing your deletion request, we may retain certain data for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal compliance). Any retained data will be securely deleted after the retention period expires.
